Conflict Weekly is an academic endeavour to track, interpret and analyse conflicts and peace processes across the world with a special emphasis on South Asia. Conflict Weekly brings to the research community every Wednesday a weekly alert of events, updates, and analyses on potential and ongoing peace processes and conflicts in the world.
Conflict Weekly is also a capacity-building initiative; it aims to provide a platform for young scholars working on issues relating to peace and conflict. The objective is to build a team of peace scholars in the long term. Capacity building is one of our core ideals of NIAS and also that of our partner - the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), with whom we publish the Conflict Weekly under the International Peace Research Initiative (IPRI) outputs. With 16 regional offices in Germany and over 120 offices abroad, the KAS is committed to achieving and maintaining peace, freedom and justice through political education.
Conflict Weekly is a joint initiative by the IPRI at NIAS and the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation (KAS) India Office.
